I haven't gotten the money yet, even though the website says it should only take 2-5 days to process my order. Currently right now, I should be getting two payments of $50 for two study guides, and I cashed out a month ago. Sometimes, the money takes awhile to come. Also, another good thing about studysoup is that if you do not seem to be on target to get the end-of-semester paycheck, they email you about it and still give you a chance to, even if you haven't quite fulfilled the requirements. However, you will get paid $50 for each study guide with a download, no matter whether or not you are getting the end of semester check. Some classes do not have all three exams, meaning you won't get paid at the end of the semester since you can't upload a study guide for a test you don't truly have. ![]() For example, you must upload three study guides for three exams during the semester to be eligible for the end of semester paycheck. You have to read the small print: in order to get the end-of-semester paycheck, there are certain requirements, or you don't get any of it. StudySoup has improved my grades a lot, helped my other classmates, and has been a way for me to make money during the semester. They are always easy to reach through email or text or through their website. This is a very helpful process, and I was encouraged that StudySoup doesn't leave you in the dark. The awesome part about it is that in the beginning someone from StudySoup will call you and critique your study guide, telling you what you can improve upon in the future, and saying what you did well. You can also upload study guides and get paid $50 for each study guide that obtains a download (up to three study guides per course-which means up to $300 from study guides alone, per semester, as an Elite Notetaker, which everyone is when they start off). ![]() Basically how it works is that you upload notes to StudySoup for every week of your class, a minimum of 8 times to be eligible for the end of semester paycheck. Not only are you helping other classmates and yourself get better grades (it truly DOES help-I can attest to that) but it is a great way to make money in addition to that. Elite notetakers are selected by StudySoup and receive a base payment in addition to the regular commission. HEAVY emphasis on marketing and recruiting, requiring you to spam your classmates repeatedly via email or your school's online messaging system when I had not yet done this, because I had no classes that fit their platform model, StudySoup *spammed my classmates on my behalf from my email address and with my signature, without my knowledge or permission!!!* Get ready to be the most hated person on campus.StudySoup is truly a great program to be a part of. On StudySoup, any student can upload their notes and study guides as a regular notetaker and receive a commission for each sale. Platform is clearly aimed at freshmen and freshman-level classes (i.e., young people who don't know any better) PYRAMID STRUCTURE - you the notetaker are meant to recruit other notetakers and receive a percentage of their sales a redder flag I've never seen in my life! This was last year when I was a Sophomore, and now I'm a junior and still an Elite Notetaker in some classes. This allowed me to drop my cafeteria job where I was making just $9.50 per hour so I could focus on school and my StudySoup position. Just to give you a sense of how much I made, after posting my 1st Biology study guide I made $427 in profits. I think it was started by a couple college students a few years ago which I thought was pretty cool too. ![]() The StudySoup team was pretty nice, and supportive throughout the process, even when I couldn't figure out how to get my notes uploaded the first time. I started posting notes for my intro-Calc and intro-Bio classes and was overwhelmed by the amount of students who were reaching out to buy the notes (Biology notes especially in my case). I'm usually taking notes in my classes anyways, so I figured this could be an easy way to make some money and maybe even help-out my classmates. After going through their information session and application process, I figured "eh, why not, I'll give it a try". I randomly heard about being a paid notetaker for StudySoup from one of my roommates at FIU.
